The Frederick County Commission on Disabilities can help you if you believe that your rights have  been infringed upon. However, first you must have exhausted all means available under existing  Frederick County directives and regulations that enable you to seek relief.

If you still feel  that you have been unfairly discriminated against, you may ask the Commission to help you. An  "Ombudsman" will be assigned to meet with you and evaluate your claim.

The Ombudsman  is neither a proponent for you or for the opposing party. Our job is to determine whether an error  has been made. We will then to attempt to negotiate a mutually satisfactory solution between  both parties.

Having requested or received the Commission's help does not abrogate your right  to seek relief by other means.
